2000 Km of History Equestrians Let Their Žemaitukai Horses Drink from the Black Sea (video)

After a trek of thirty-seven days on horseback along the path of Vytautas the Great, seven men and two women reached their final destination – the Black Sea. Participants of the 2000 Km of History project resurrected a 600-year-old historical legend and quenched the thirst of their Žemaitukai horses in the waves of the Black Sea.

The equestrians entered the town of Ochakov in the Ukraine on Friday after riding out from Senieji Trakai on September 8th. Mounted on Žemaitukai horses, the riders, as well as the support team and camera crew accompanying them in off-road vehicles, had visited and documented historical sites of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
